Take your Middle East adventure to a whole new level with an immersive journey through the heart of Jordan and Egypt. This exploration goes far beyond the postcards - from wandering the back-trails of Petra and the crimson dunes of Wadi Rum to cruising the timeless Nile on a traditional dahabiya. Whether you’re standing in the shadow of the Great Pyramids, hiking the Dana Biosphere, or sharing a home-cooked meal with a local family, every day offers a perfect blend of iconic wonders and genuine connection. From the surreal salt beaches of the Dead Sea to the golden treasures of Cairo, this journey delivers legendary history and modern magic on every level.
Highlights
Hike along the ancient back-trail into Petra from little Petra and take a jeep tour of the desert in Wadi Rum, Hike to a waterfall and soak in the Dead Sea, Sail the Nile in style aboard a traditional dahabiya with personalized service and stunning river views, Walk in the footsteps of pharaohs at the Pyramids of Giza and the Valley of the Kings, Marvel at ancient treasures and golden masks inside Cairo’s Egyptian Museum.
Accomodation
On this trip we will stay in comfortable local hotels and pensions. Rooms will be on a twin-share basis unless you have booked our My Own Room service. You can expect the rooms to have air-conditioning, private bathrooms and breakfast will be included daily. Some hotels may also have swimming pools and/or other recreational facilities.
Group Leader
This G Adventures group trip is accompanied by one of our group leaders, otherwise known as a Chief Experience Officer (CEO). The aim of the group leader is to take the hassle out of your travels and to help you have the best trip possible. They will provide information on the places you are travelling through, offer suggestions for things to do and see, recommend great local eating venues and introduce you to our local friends. While not being guides in the traditional sense you can expect them to have a broad general knowledge of the countries visited on the trip, including historical, cultural, religious and social aspects. We also use local guides where we think more specific knowledge will add to the enjoyment of the places we are visiting - we think it's the best of both worlds.
